Juan David Vergara is the owner of JDV Architecture. He has 10 plus years of experience working in the profession including custom residences, multi-family buildings, K-12 schools, higher educational facilities, and commercial work. He holds a B.A. in Architecture from the University of Minnesota and a Master of Architecture from the University of Washington and is a licensed architect in Oregon and New York.
Originally from Colombia and after having studied and practiced architecture in different countries including England, Argentina, and Spain, Juan is constantly inspired by the human spirit. He has a strong interest in housing design and urban form. Juan believes that good design helps to create resilient communities and that thoughtful infill can strengthen the city and its diverse neighborhoods.
Paisley is the office dog and is an 12-year-old Golden retriever...strong emphasis on the retriever. He’s a native Washingtonian that’s most at home on the mountains and in the lakes of the Pacific Northwest, although he misses enjoying all of the new smells and endless free "street food" New York had to offer.
When Paisley isn't busy doing tricks for treats (a few of his favorites are playing hurt, catching balls with his paws, and trust falling), he helps out in all departments around the office. His main responsibilities consist of crumb clean-up and gladly being the recipient of any stress relief pets needed.
